Before assuming his editorship of The Art Journal, Tom worked as the London Correspondent for Cultured magazine and as an editorial consultant for Cultureshock. He also regularly contributed to The Art Newspaper, Frieze, GQ, ArtReview, ARTnews, Art Basel and Artnet among others.
His work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Observer, The Telegraph and the New Statesman.
He has made regular broadcast contributions to BBC radio, and has appeared on Monocle Radio and ITV News at Ten.
